CDL Theory Training | Ages 17+

Get started on your journey towards a Commercial Driver’s License with Central MN Truck Academy’s theory training. This short hybrid course will prepare you to take your CDL permit test and will satisfy the theory portion of the federal Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements.
Classes will include live in-person training (dates below) as well as online self study materials. In-person attendance is encouraged but not required to complete this training.
Theory training is the first step towards getting a CDL. Class participants will receive exclusive pricing on behind-the-wheel training packages with Central MN Truck Academy to complete their CDL training. Central MN Truck Academy will also provide resources for grant funding for individuals as well as businesses looking to train employees to help cover the cost of the behind-the-wheel training.
This course is the first step to obtaining your CDL liscense. As you continue on to get your lisense there will be additonal fees and training, this will be discussed during the class meeting dates. Students cannot get their permit until they are 18 years old, but you can start the studying at 17 years old.
